Sean Chen, Concert Pianist
Medalist in the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition

Hailed as a charismatic rising star with “an exceptional ability to connect with an audience combined with an easy virtuosity” (Huffington Post), pianist Sean Chen won over fans and critics at the 2013 Cliburn Competition. The first American to earn a Cliburn award since 1997, he took home third prize, just months after being named the 2013 Christel DeHaan Classical Fellow of the American Pianists Association. He continues to earn accolades for performances that are “dazzlingly executed, full of colors and nuance” (Arts Fuse).

Albert and Gage
Vocalists and Musicians

Christine Albert & Chris Gage have a long track record of making beautiful music together, although both musicians' individual pedigrees are far more extensive. Over the course of six duet albums, the duo has demonstrated that disparate backgrounds do not preclude musical soul mates from finding one another.

Hill Country Youth Orchestras

HCYO was founded by Lynda Ables, who was the Director of Music for Kerrville First United Methodist Church and HCYO Facilitator from 1995 until her retirement in 2009. HCYO has grown to more than 130 string students and approximately 25 wind, brass and percussion students in the intervening years. Through the dedication of Mrs. Ables, the HCYO Board of Directors, and a dedicated faculty and staff today’s orchestras reflect the organization’s mission of “Bringing the joy of the orchestra experience to the youth of the Hill Country” and provide educational opportunities to all children, regardless of race, color, creed, disability, or economic status.

We live in Fredericksburg, Texas in the Hill Country, just a short jaunt from Austin and San Antonio. We play Folk/Americana music... With a twist. We love to sing. We love writing music that's never been heard before (or putting our own twist on music that's been around for awhile!) We also like to laugh. And travel. And just do everything. Together. And with you! We love making friends and having new adventures, eating great food and seeing new places. We hope you'll join us on our journey!

The Marcsmen
San Antonio’s Premier Men’s A Cappella Group

We consider The Marcsmen to be a musical brotherhood. Sure, we love to sing and strive to make each other the best musicians we can be, but at the same time, we love to socialize. Whether it’s playing basketball, going out to dinner after rehearsal and singing tags in the parking lot until the wee hours or the morning, or ribbing each other in our discussion groups, we have fun together. Of course, that extends to all of our families as well, whom we consider to be just as much a part of the group as the actual members. Our members come from all walks of life at a variety of ages as young as 13 and as old as in their 70’s, from all parts of the South Texas region.

Emile Pandolfi
Concert Pianist

Considered one of today’s top pianists with over 3 million CDs sold. It has been said that he plays “luxurious arrangements” with an “ethereal quality”; that he plays in a “free-flowing, emotional manner that seems to go to the music’s very soul.” (Stereophile Magazine) Without a doubt, when you hear Emile Pandolfi play, you know that you are hearing one of today’s finest pianists. Receiving his degree in piano performance, Emile applies his classical technique to Broadway and Popular music, in addition to classical performance, to the delight of his many fans. Strong in both technique and musicality, he has performed in many parts of the world throughout his professional career.
